GRIP 0803323 - Caterpillar

1. Open the engine hood assembly and engage engine hood support. 2. Remove eight nuts (2) and the washers, plate (3) and gasket (4) from hydraulic oil tank (1). 3. Remove strainer (5) and breather (6). 4. Disconnect hose assemblies (7) and (8). Cap or plug immediately.5. Remove nut, washer and clip (11) holding hose (10) to the frame bottom to gain slack to disconnect hose (10). Loosen hose clamp (9), and remove hose (10) from the hydraulic oil tank. 6. Loosen hose clamp (13), and disconnect hose (12). Remove all fittings (15) for the necessary clearance to remove the hydraulic oil tank.7. Remove two bolts (14) and the washers that hold the rear of the hydraulic oil tank to the frame.8. Remove the next two nuts, washers and clips on the wiring harness to get the necessary slack to reposition the wiring harness. The wiring harness and cable are attached to the side of the hydraulic oil tank. 9. Attach Tool (A) and a hoist to hood assembly (16). 10. With hood assembly (16) supported, remove bolts (17) and the washers. Remove hood support assembly (18). 11. Remove nuts (19) and the washers. Reposition wiring harness (21) and battery cable (20). 12. Remove bolts (22) and the washers that hold the front of the hydraulic oil tank to the frame. 13. Remove nut (23), the washer and bolt. Remove horn assembly (24).14. Remove the hydraulic oil tank by tilting it towards the front of the machine and lifting up. For installation of the hydraulic oil tank, reverse the removal steps.
