Use a suitable lifting device to lift the rear of the machine so the tires are off the ground. Refer to Table 2 for the weight of the machine. Place jack stands under both sides of the frame at designated location (7).

Assemble Tool (B). Connect Tool (B2) to the USB port on Tool (A).
Connect Tool (B3) to diagnostic connector (8).
Move engine start switch (4) to the START position. Release the switch when the engine starts.

Click Plus+1TM icon (9) to launch the Plus+1TM program on Tool (A).Note: The connection instruction for the Plus+1TM service tool for Caterpillar® is published in Special Instruction, REHS7696. , "Software Installation Instructions of the Plus+1TM Service Tool for Caterpillar® (P1STC) Is available for Caterpillar Paving Products".

Select "SCOM T4fWB.P1D" file (14) then click "Open" button (15).Note: The machine-specific diagnostic P1D file must be used with the P1STC program to communicate with the machine ECM.

Select the "Calibrations" (16) icon.Note: The Drum and the wheels will rotate after the calibration procedure is started. Make sure that the area around the machine is clear of personnel before the "Start" button is chosen.
Personal injury can result from rotating and moving parts.Moving fan blades and moving parts will throw or cut any object or tool that falls or is pushed into them.Make sure no one is working on, underneath or close to an engine that is running. Make sure the area is free of personnel.

Press the "Start" button (17) to the right of the "Pump One Forward" row.
Follow the onscreen instructions to perform the propel pump calibration.

The program will indicate when the calibration is complete with a message (18).
If the program is not able to calibrate the propel pump, check the hydraulic propel system for a fault.Note: If the motor displacement settings are incorrect, the required amperages for a given speed can be affected. This situation can cause calibration issues.
Move the engine start switch (4) to the OFF position.
Remove Tool (A) from diagnostic connector (9).
Use a suitable lifting device to lift the rear of the machine. Refer to Table 2 for the weight of the machine. Remove Tool (E) from both sides of the rear frame. Lower the rear of the machine to the ground.
.Use a suitable lifting device to lift the front of the machine. Refer to Table 2 for the weight of the machine. Remove Tool (E) from both sides of the front frame. Lower the front of the machine to the ground.
