(9YF) LoadersDescription of Change: New front fender assemblies are used on the machines listed. The new fender assemblies are more durable to resist cracking.Adaptable To: The new 2A6828 Left Fender Assembly replaces the former 8X0141 Left Fender Assembly (not canceled). The new 2A6829 Right Fender Assembly replaces the former 8X0142 Right Fender Assembly (not canceled).This change is effective with 994 (9YF28) Loader, and is adaptable to first production. To adapt this change to an earlier machine, use the following procedure.
Procedure To Install New Front Fender Assemblies On Earlier 994 (9YF1-27) Loaders
1. Remove the former 8X0141 (Left), and 8X0142 (Right) Fender Assemblies from the machine.2. Locate the five threaded holes on each side of the frame which were used to mount the former fender assemblies. Using a drill, enlarge these holes to a diameter of 24.50 + 0.50 -0.15 mm (.960 + .020 -.006 in).3. Position the left fender assembly in place, and install five each of 7X2563 Bolts, and 8T4123 Hard Washers. The new bolts should go through the holes which were enlarged in Step 2, and thread into the new fender assembly.4. Repeat Step 3 for the right fender assembly.
