GROMMET 3A1975 - Caterpillar

The event code, 3546-11 for utility circuit breaker status: other failure mode is to monitor the utility breaker circuit for a change of state without a loss of utility power. The utility power is being detected by the EMCP 4 digital input. The event will become active when the following occurs:
The utility breaker opens without being tripped 3 consecutive times within 60 seconds.
Inspect system wiring for intermittent open circuits and high resistance, loose connections, and shorts to ground in between the EMCP relay output. The EMCP relay output is designated for utility breaker control to the utility breaker.Test Step 1. Check the Wiring Harness for an Open Circuit or a Short Circuit to Ground
Disconnect battery power from the engine.
Disconnect the wiring harness from the EMCP and Utility Breaker.
Measure the resistance of the wiring between the designated relay output and the utility breaker. If more than 10 ohms of resistance is found, there should be an open circuit or bad connection. Repair or replace the wiring. If less than 10 ohms of resistance is found, measure for battery voltage at the EMCP relay output pin and utility breaker connection point. If battery power is found at both points, there may be a problem with the utility breaker. If battery power is not present at the utility breaker but present at the EMCP, repair or replace the wiring harness.Results:
