Installation Procedure
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Tools and Shop Products Guide" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Note: The bracket will be installed with the bank valve.
Install bank valve (9) into the machine and install four bolts (8) and the washers. The bank valve weighs approximately 27 kg (60 lb).

Install hydraulic hose assembly (7) on the rear of the bank valve.

Install hydraulic hose assembly (6) for the test port on the rear of the bank valve.

Install the lower row of hydraulic hose assemblies on the bank valve. Begin to install the hydraulic hose assemblies at the farthest adapter and work toward the closest hydraulic hose assembly.

Install the upper row of hydraulic hose assemblies and adapters on the bank valve. Begin to install the adapters and the hydraulic hose assemblies at the farthest port and work toward closest adapter (4) and toward closest hydraulic hose assembly (3) .

Connect four control linkages (1) to the spools (2) on the bank valve.
Close the access panel on the right side of the machine.
Fill the hydraulic tank with the proper fluid. The capacity of the hydraulic tank is approximately 36 L (9.5 US gal).
