is a software program that is used on earthmoving machines during grade/slope, material/ore, and compaction applications. The program provides machine operators with information about an earthmoving task that is to be performed. It is also designed in order to enhance site operations by providing site management personnel with information on the status of the work and the productivity of the machines. The CAESultra screen consists of several small resizable windows that are configured by office personnel. The windows display information that is appropriate for any given machine. Due to CAESultra's on-board displays and electronically transmitted data, the system dramatically improves production at night or during times of limited visibility.Utilizing Global Positioning Technology (GPS), CAESultra enables the machine operator to view the machine's location relative to the planned work. A color-coded work plan is displayed in real-time on a display for the operator. As the operator works, terrain and machine position information is updated on a design plan. The GPS provides continuous information on the design plan for both the operator and office personnel as to the operator's progress.The real-time information is displayed on either a Navigator display or else on a CD1040 display that is installed in the machine. Navigator is a rugged, backlit display that uses a touch screen interface with configurable fixed toolbars and floating toolbars. Each window may contain a floating toolbar. The CD1040 does not have touch screen technology. Instead, it uses four buttons along the right side of the on-board display that allow the operator to navigate the screens and to edit design files.
