Oil seeps from the modulation portion of the transmission control valve into the inching cable on certain 12H, 120H, 135H, 140H, 143H, 160H, and 163H Motor Graders. The oil may flow through cable and leak from clutch control box under platform.

Disconnect both ends of clutch cable and remove from unit.
Pull the 6I8444 Plunger As. from transmission control valve, remove the 9U8071 Coupler from the plunger as. and replace it with the 144-2804 Coupler. Tighten to 5 Nzm.
Install 146-6261 Lip Seal, 118-5068 Seal O-ring and 7M8485 Seal O-ring on 144-2802 Adapter.
Put a slight film of oil on the 144-2803 Plunger, hook to coupler and slide new 144-2802 Adapter over the plunger. While pushing adapter towards the control valve screw it into the valve, tighten to 75 Nzm. Push on plunger several times to check for any binding.
The plunger will push hard because of the new seals in the adapter.
Install 5D6539 Seal in front face of 144-2802 Adapter. Slide 9X6578 Nut over the 144-5323 Cable. Place the ball of cable in slot provided on the end of plunger. Actuate the inside of cable forward until the flange on cable comes in contact with the face seal on the adapter. Screw the cable nut 9X6578 onto the 144-2802 Adapter and tighten to 50 Nzm.
Route cable to control box under platform. Will have to use the rod end 5P7704 from the old cable. When installing cable into the control box, it is important to leave only two threads exposed on the cable outside of the box at large jam nut 9S1354.
When installing 5P7704 rod end to cable assemble rod end completely on the cable then backoff a minimum 3/16 of an inch, tighten jam nut.
Remove the existing 8X7665 Bracket and old spring 1D1313 from linkage and replace with the 147-7238 Bracket and the 149-2065 Spring. Remove the 7V0446 Clip from cleaves pin, remove old cleaves pin 3K8280 from linkage and replace with 3H8538 Pin. After install pin through linkage, install 8T4896 Washer on end of
