Remove the front center bottom guard and the rear center bottom guard. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Bottom Guard - Remove and Install".
Remove the right engine side guard. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine Side Guards - Remove and Install".
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Note: Put identification marks on all hoses, on all hose assemblies, on all harness assemblies, and on all tube assemblies for installation purposes. Plug all hose assemblies and all tube assemblies. This helps to prevent fluid loss, and this helps to keep contaminants from entering the system.
Drain the coolant from the cooling system into a suitable container for storage or for disposal. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Capacities - Refill" for the capacity of the cooling system. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant (DEAC) - Change" or Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Extended Life Coolant - Change" for the proper draining procedure.

Remove clamps (1) and (3). Remove tube assemblies (2) .

Remove bolts (4), (5), and (6). Remove bonnet (7) and the gaskets.

Remove bolts (9) and remove bolts (10) .
Remove bolts (12) .
Remove bolts (13). Remove clamps (14) .
Remove tube assembly (8). Position tube assembly (11) to the side.

Install Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to power train oil cooler (19). Remove bolts (20). Remove clip (17) .
Separate power train oil cooler (19) from engine oil cooler (18). Remove power train oil cooler (19). The weight of power train oil cooler (19) is approximately 39 kg (86 lb).
