Installation Procedure
Installation Procedure of the Turbocharger Housing
Note: O-rings, gaskets, and seals should always be replaced. A used O-ring may not have the same sealing properties as a new O-ring. Use 1U-6396 O-Ring Assembly Compound during the assembly procedure.

Install gasket (19) to the exhaust manifold.
Apply 5P-3931 Anti-Seize Compound on the threads of the mounting studs.

Install gasket (20) to the turbocharger housing.

Install turbocharger housing (17) .
Install four nuts (18). Tighten the nuts to a torque of 41 N m (30 lb ft).

Align the exhaust tube to the turbocharger housing.
Install the lockwasher and bolt (16) .

Install guard (14) .

Install O-ring seal (13) to turbocharger cartridge (6) .

Install turbocharger cartridge (6) into the turbocharger housing.
Install retaining ring (12) .

Install O-ring (11) to oil drain line (7) .

Install a new gasket for oil drain line (7) .
Install oil drain line (7) to turbocharger cartridge (6) .
Fasten the oil drain line with two bolts (10) .

Install turbocharger cartridge (6) and oil drain line (7) .
Push oil drain line (7) into the engine block.
Install the washer and bolt (8) .
Apply 5P-3931 Anti-Seize Compound on the threads of bolt (9) .
Install the clamp, the nut, and bolt (9) that holds the turbocharger cartridge in position.

Connect air line (4) to the turbocharger cartridge (6). Tighten hose clamp (3) .
Connect air line (2) to the turbocharger cartridge (6). Tighten two hose clamps (1) .Note: Pour engine oil inside the turbocharger cartridge through the opening for the banjo bolt (5). This will help lubricate the internal parts of the turbocharger.
Install two washers and banjo bolt (5) for the oil supply line.Reference: For further information concerning the turbocharger, refer to Disassembly and Assembly, RENR4010.
