Priming the Fuel System
Make certain accelerator pedal is pulled back past detent position. Remove right engine guard.Scroll Fuel System
1. Open vent valve. 2. Unlock priming pump plunger. Operate plunger until fuel flowing from drain tube is free of bubbles.3. Lock pump plunger and close vent valve.4. Start engine and inspect for leaks.5. Install engine guard.Sleeve Metering Fuel System
1. Open fuel system bleed valve. 2. Unlock priming pump plunger and operate pump until fuel flows free of bubbles.3. Close pump, lock plunger and close fuel system bleed valve.4. Start engine and inspect for leaks.5. Install engine guard.(49)Air Conditioner (If Equipped)
When using pressure air wear protective face shield and protective clothing. Maximum air pressure must be below 30 PSI (205 kPa) for cleaning purposes.
Clean filter elements with pressure air; or wash elements in warm water and non-sudsing household detergent, rinse in clean water and air dry thoroughly.Fresh Air Filters
Open cover and remove filter elements. Clean elements and install. Close cover.Recirculating Filter

Air cleaner may be mounted in the operator's compartment or in the engine compartment. Service procedure is the same.
Never service air cleaner with engine running.
Service air cleaner element if RED band in indicator is locked in visible position. Stop engine.Primary Element
1. Remove cover and primary element. 2. Clean inside of body and cover.3. Clean and inspect element. See next page.
Always inspect primary element before and after cleaning with a light bulb inside the element. Discard element if any tears, rips or damage are evident.Tighten cover screws finger-tight to 3 lb ft (4 N m) torque maximum. Do not use a tool to tighten them.
4. Install clean element and cover. Reset filter indicator. If indicator shows RED shortly after installation of a primary element, which has been cleaned 6 times, change to another clean element. The primary element should be replaced after being cleaned a maximum of 6 times. Replace element once a year even though it has not been cleaned 6 times.If indicator still shows RED shortly after installation of clean primary element, change secondary element.Replace secondary element at the time primary element is cleaned for the third time.
Always replace secondary element. Do not attempt to reuse by cleaning.
Secondary Element
1. Remove cover and primary element. Remove secondary element nuts and bolts. 2. Remove and discard secondary element.3. Cover air inlet opening.4. Clean entire air cleaner, including precleaner, if necessary.5. Uncover air inlet opening.6. Inspect gasket between filter housing and engine air inlet. Replace if damaged.7. Install new secondary element. Torque element nuts to 20 5 lb ft (27 7 N m).8. Install clean primary element and cover.9. Reset filter indicator.Cleaning Air Cleaner Elements
