start by:a) remove ripper shank 1. Put beam (1) in a vertical position and install tooling (A) under the beam and frame as shown. Move the control lever and lower the weight of beam (1) and the frame on tooling (A). 2. Fasten a hoist to the tilt cylinder. Remove the plate and pin (2) to disconnect cylinder rod (3) from the beam.3. Retract rod (3) into the cylinder and lower the tilt cylinder on the lift cylinder.4. Follow Steps 2 and 3 to disconnect the other tilt cylinder rod from the beam. 5. Fasten a hoist to beam (1) as shown. Move beam (1) enough to remove two stands of tooling (A) from under the beam. Put the beam in position shown. 6. Remove the plates, pins (5) and shims (4) from each side of the beam. Remove the beam from the frame. The weight of the beam is 2250 kg (5000 lb.).Install Ripper Beam (Carriage)
1. Make sure tooling (A) is installed under the ripper frame and the weight is on the tooling.2. Fasten a hoist to beam (1) and put the beam in position as shown. 3. Install shims (3) (as needed) to put the ripper frame in the center of the beam. Use the same amount of shims on each side of the machine. Install pins (2) and the plates to connect the beam to the frame. Tighten the bolts for the plates to a torque of 360 47 N m (265 35 lb.ft.). 4. Move the beam to install tooling (A) as support for the weight of the beam. 5. Fasten a hoist and lift the tilt cylinder into position. Extend cylinder rod (4) to make an alignment of the pin bores. Install pin (5) and the plate to hold it. Tighten the bolts for the plate to a torque of 360 47 N m (265 35 lb.ft.).6. Follow Step 5 to connect the other tilt cylinder rod to the beam.end by:a) install ripper shank
