REPLACE FUEL PUMP GEAR COVER ON D8L SA AND D9L TRACTORS, 1353, 1359, PI3092 U-15 A-10 C-13 priority parts stock action needed Problem The fan spider pulley is supported by the fuel pump gear cover on D9L and D8L SA (Special Application) Tractors. The 4W828 Cover can fail and allow the fan to fall into the radiator. A new, stronger cover is now used. This cover has a thicker wall across the cover below the four holes for the fan bracket. The Disassembly and Assembly Module, SENR2095-Page 74, in the D9L Tractor Service Manual can be used. U.S. and Canadian owners will receive an Owner Notification. See last page. Also, remove any 4W828 Covers from parts stocks. Look for this part number on the casting.
