Tag link must be installed correctly to prevent damage to the lift cylinder when blade is lifted. Make a mark on the link for correct assembly.
1. Fasten straps and a hoist to each end of tag link (1). Remove two bolts (2) cap and shims that connect tag link (1) to pivot point on front cleaner bar assembly (3).2. Start machine and articulate just far enough to move free end of tag link away from cleaner bar (3). 3. Remove two bolts (4), shims and cap that connect tag link (1) to blade.4. Use hoist to remove tag link (1). Install in reverse order.5. Lubricate all pins and caps with anti-seize prior to installation.6. Move the blade slightly to the right and make an alignment of tag link (1) to the ball. Install shims, cap and bolts. See shimming procedure in this publication for correct shims.
