Refer to the Service Manual if/as necessary.
Rework Procedure For the Final Drive on R1700G Load Haul Dump Machines
In the event of a failed 162-2526 Final Drive and Wheel Gp, follow the procedure below.
Required Parts in Table 1, Image 1.1.1.

Remove the following parts from the current assembly: Refer to Image 1.1.2.
(2) 105-8743 Bushing
(3) 159-8169 Planetary Gear
(4) 297-3030 Planetary Shaft
(5) 109-9719 Thrust Washer
1. For each planetary gear, remove 105-8743 Bushing (2), 159-8169 Planetary Gear (3), 297-3030 Planetary Shaft (4) and two 109-9719 Thrust Washers (5). These parts will not be reused. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Final Drive Planetary Carrier - Disassemble".

(6) 208-7619 Planetary Gear
2. Prior to assembly inspect the bore of each 208-7619 Planetary Gear (6). The bore should be smooth and free from grinding marks. Refer to Image 1.2.1.
Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, thoroughly clean all parts in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Do not use wiping cloths or rags to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.
Dirt and other contaminants can damage the precision component. Perform assembly procedures on a clean work surface. Keep components covered and protected at all times.

Note: Lubricate each 4D-3151 Roller Bearing As (9) with the lubricant that is being sealed.
3. Install two 4D-3151 Roller Bearing As (9) and 180-0015 Spacer (10) to 208-7619 Planetary Gear (6). Refer to Image 1.3.1 and Image 1.4.1.
Note: Lubricate the contact surfaces of 203-5527 Thrust Washer (7) and 203-5528 Thrust Washer (8) with the lubricant that is being sealed.
4. Install two 203-5527 Thrust Washers (7), two 203-5528 Thrust Washers (8) and 208-7619 Planetary Gear (6) to the final drive planetary carrier.
Note: Ensure 203-5527 Thrust Washer (8) is installed between 203-5528 Thrust Washer (7) and 208-7619 Planetary Gear (6).
5. Install 6T-5545 Dowel (12) to 369-7660 Shaft (11). Refer to Image 1.3.1.

6. Install 369-7660 Shaft (11) to the final drive planetary carrier. Align 6T-5545 Dowel (12) with the slot in the final drive planetary carrier. Refer to Image 1.5.1.
7. Repeat Step 2 through Step 6 for the remaining two planetary gears.
8. Install the final drive planetary carrier. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Final Drive, Brake, and Wheel - Install".
