Installation Procedure
Note: Make sure that all mounting surfaces are clean prior to installation.

Fasten a suitable retainer around the axle, around front axle support (6) and around yoke (5). This will prevent the front axle support and the yoke from falling as the oscillating axle is being installed.
Fasten a suitable lifting sling to each side of the oscillating axle. Fasten a hoist to both lifting slings. Raise the oscillating axle into position. The weight of the oscillating axle is 1225 kg (2700 lb).
Install the bolts (7) that hold front axle support (6) to the machine frame. The torque for bolts (7) is 475 60 N m (350 45 lb ft).

Connect tube assembly (2) to rear axle support.
Install the bolts (3) that hold rear axle support to the machine frame. The torque for bolts (3) is 475 60 N m (350 45 lb ft).

Connect the hose assembly and tube assembly (1) to the oscillating axle.
Fill the oscillating axle. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual for the correct procedure.
Lubricate the front supports and the rear supports. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual for the correct procedure.End By:
Install the rear drive shaft. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Drive Shaft (Rear) - Remove and Install".
Install the rear tires and the rims. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Tire and Rim (Rear) - Remove and Install".
Purge the air from the braking system. Refer to Testing and Adjusting for the correct procedure.
