Change Filters
The transmission filters are located at the rear of the machine in the left hand engine compartment.1. Open the access doors. 2. Remove the plugs from the bottom of the filter housings and drain the oil. Remove and discard the used elements.3. Clean the filter housings with a clean, nonflammable solvent.4. Clean both of the housing bases.5. Insert a new filter element in each housing.6. Inspect the filter housing seals. Replace the seals, if they are damaged.7. Install the filter housing assemblies. 8. Start the engine. Apply the service brake. Use the right brake pedal only. 9. Slowly operate the transmission controls to circulate the transmission oil.10. Move the transmission control lever into NEUTRAL. Engage the parking/secondary brake. Inspect for leaks. 11. Maintain the oil level between ADD and FULL marks on dipstick (1). Add the oil through fill tube (2) if necessary.12. Stop the engine and install the access cover.Implement Hydraulic System
Change Filters
1. Open the access cover.2. Remove the oil filler cap slowly to relieve the tank pressure before changing the filters.Steering and Implement Filters
1. Remove the covers and two filters in each housing.2. Discard the filter elements.3. Remove the screens. Wash the screens and covers in a clean, nonflammable solvent.4. Install the screens and two new filter elements in each housing.5. Inspect the cover seals. Replace if necessary.6. Install the covers.After Changing Filters
1. Start and run the engine at low idle. Inspect for leaks. 2. Maintain the hydraulic oil above the ADD COLD mark in sight gauge. Add oil if necessary through the fill tube.3. Stop the engine. Close the access cover.Fuel System Filters
Clean and Change Filters
Do not fill fuel filters with fuel before installing them. Contaminated fuel will cause accelerated wear to fuel system parts.
Wash the Primary Filter Element
1. Open the left rear access door of the machine. 2. Loosen the filter housing retaining bolt.3. Remove the housing and element.4. Remove the element from the case.5. Wash the element and housing in clean, nonflammable solvent.6. Dry the element using pressure air.7. Clean the filter case base.8. Inspect the seal. Replace if damaged.9. Insert the clean element.10. Install the element and case into housing.11. Retighten the retaining bolt to a torque of 24 4 N m (18 3 lb ft).12. Close the access cover.Change Secondary Fuel Filters
The secondary fuel filters are located on the right side of the machine. 1. Remove and discard the filters.2. Clean the filter mounting bases. Be sure all of the old seal is removed.3. Coat the seal of a new filters with clean diesel fuel. 4. Install the new filters by hand. When the seal contacts the base, tighten 3/4 turn more.There are rotation-index marks 90° apart on the filter. Use them as a guide for proper tightening.5. Prime the fuel system.
