Remove the rib plates by gouging and make the TRF surface flat by grinding.
Clean the surfaces before welding the reinforcement plates by removing all contaminations such as grease, water, paint
Cover all the finished bores and threads before welding and painting

Weld the reinforcement plates (Plate A/B or C/D) onto the TRF in accordance with the images below. The clearance should be less than 1 mm (0.04 inch) between the TRF and the reinforcement plates.

After welding, grind the ends of the welds to make them smooth.
Do the same on the other side from Step 1 to Step 5.
After primer painting, paint the TRF with the approved Caterpillar paint.
Uncover all the bores and threads after the paint is dry.
