Test Procedure
Move the machine to a smooth horizontal location.
Lower all of the implements.
Do not warm the power train oil at this time.

Locate the compartment for the priority valve pressure tap on the right side of the cab.
Remove two plates (1) from the fuel tank guard, if equipped.
Illustration 4 g01125533
Remove two bolts (2). Open the compartment door. Attach tooling (A or B) to pressure tap (3) .Note: When the parking brake is ON the pressure at tooling (A or B) should always be 1140 170 kPa (165 25 psi) (low pressure).Note: When the parking brake is OFF and power train oil temperature is less than 40 °C (104 °F) the pressure at tooling (A or B) should always be 2965 100 kPa (430 15 psi) (high pressure). The priority valve will regulate the oil at high pressure in the following conditions:
The priority valve will remain at high pressure until the engine rpm rises above 1350 rpm. The priority valve will return to high pressure when engine rpm drops below 1300 rpm.
The priority valve will temporarily regulate the oil at high pressure when the transmission makes a speed shift or when the transmission makes a directional shift.
The priority valve will remain at high pressure until the power train oil temperature rises above 45 °C (113 °F). The priority valve will return to high pressure when power train oil temperature drops below 40 °C (104 °F).
Start the engine. Make sure that the steering control lever is in the NEUTRAL position. Deactivate the parking brake. Operate the engine at HIGH IDLE (2290 rpm).
Check the pressure at tooling (A or B). The pressure at tooling (A or B) should be 2965 100 kPa (430 15 psi) (high pressure).
Make sure that the steering control lever is in the NEUTRAL position. Continue to run the engine at HIGH IDLE (2290 rpm). Gradually allow the temperature of the power train oil to increase to 45 °C (113 °F).
When the temperature of the power train oil rises above 45 °C (113 °F) the pressure at tooling (A or B) should change to 1140 170 kPa (165 25 psi) (low pressure).
When the temperature of the power train oil is more than 45 °C (113 °F), run the engine less than 1300 rpm. Make sure that the steering control lever is in the NEUTRAL position.
Check the pressure at tooling (A or B). The pressure at tooling (A or B) should be 2965 100 kPa (430 15 psi) (high pressure).
Gradually increase the engine rpm up to just above 1350 rpm. The pressure at tooling (A or B) should be 1140 170 kPa (165 25 psi) (low pressure).
If the pressure at tooling (A or B) is not 1140 170 kPa (165 25 psi), perform the following adjustment procedure.
If the pressure at tooling (A or B) is 1140 170 kPa (165 25 psi), the test is complete.Adjustment Procedure
