Information:
Release all the pressure in the hydraulic system prior to disconnecting any hydraulic lines or removing any loader linkage pins. If the hydraulic oil pressure is not released completely, oil can spray out of the oil lines under high pressure. Also, there will be binding of the loader linkage pins in their bores. After the removal of any pins, the loader linkage can separate suddenly. Failure to release system pressure completely can cause personal injury.
1. Release all the pressure from the hydraulic system. The bucket/implement positioner group (4) must be removed from the right hand tilt cylinder only.2. Disconnect tube (1) at the rear of the tilt cylinder and also at junction block (2).3. Remove bolts (6) (not shown) that holds positioner bracket (3) to the tilt cylinder.4. Remove bucket/implement positioner group (5) from the right hand tilt cylinder. 5. Fasten a nylon strap to the tilt cylinder and attach a hoist.6. Remove two bolts and lockplate (8).7. Remove pin (7) from the rod end of the tilt cylinder. 8. Fasten a second nylon strap and raise the tilt cylinder until it is level.9. Remove bolt and plate (9) from the tilt cylinder head end.10. Disconnect hydraulic lines (11), (12) and (13) from the tilt cylinder and then lay them aside.11. Remove the bolt and pin (10) from the head end of the tilt cylinder.12. Remove the tilt cylinder from the machine.13. The weight of the tilt cylinder is 45 Kg (100 lb). 14. Remove lip seals (14) from each side of the bearing in the head end of the cylinder. 15. Use tooling (A) and then remove the bearing from the head end of the tilt cylinder. The following steps are for the installation of the tilt cylinder.16. Lower the temperature of the bearing and use tooling (A) to install it in the head end of the tilt cylinder until it is centered in the bore.17. Use tooling (B) and install a new lip seal (14) on each side of the bearing.18. Be sure the lips of the seals point toward the outside.19. Be sure the pins slide freely in their bores before assembly. Lubricate all pins, pin bores and seals with 5P0960 Multipurpose Grease before assembly.20. Install the tilt cylinders in the reverse order of the removal.21. Adjust the bucket/implement positioner group (right hand only).22.
