Replace the parts that are damaged for 992G S/N:7HR298-UP Wheel Loaders. Adjust the steering stops before continuing. See adjustment procedure ""Steering Neutralizer Valve Adjustment"".Perform the following procedure for 992G S/N:7HR1-297 Wheel Loaders. This repair should be applied whenever the frames are separated.Note: Improper adjustment of the steering stops will cause the bore to elongate. The doubler plates will help reduce elongation when mechanical contact is made with the steering stops.

Fabricate two doubler plates according to the dimensions in Illustration 7. Use hot finished surface steel that is 20 mm (.787 inch) thick. This will reinforce the hitch.
Clean the area that will be welded. Remove grease, paint, rust, and any other contaminants.

Position plate (1) on top of the lower hitch assembly. See Illustration 8.

Weld a 14 mm (.551 inch) fillet (F) to the inside edge of the plate. Use one of the welding processes that are listed in Table 4. Use the filler metals that are listed in Table 4.
Ensure that each weld pass is free of the following visible discontinuities: cracks, slag inclusions, undercuts and porosity.
Clean the weld after each pass.
Weld a 20 mm (.787 inch) groove (G) around the inside edge of the plate. Use the welding procedure that is in Step 4.Note: Do not weld around the outside edge of the plate. See Location (H) .
Repeat Steps 4 and 5 in order to install the bottom plate.
Remachining of the bore will be necessary. See Table 3 for bore dimensions.
Assemble the loader frame and the rear frame.Steering Neutralizer Valve
