A 145-5242 Puller 1 Start By:
Connect the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect".

Remove horn button (1) from steering wheel (2). If necessary, use a screwdriver to pry off the horn button.

Disconnect harness assembly (5) from horn button (1). Note: Mark the position of lever (6) for assembly purposes.
Remove nut (3), spacer (4), and lever (6).

Remove bolts (8). Slide shroud (7) down the steering column.

Loosen retaining nut (9). Note: Mark the position of the steering wheel for assembly purposes.
Use Tooling (A) to loosen steering wheel (2). Remove retaining nut (9).

Lift steering wheel (2).
Disconnect harness assembly (10) and harness assembly (11).
Remove steering wheel (2). Installation Procedure

Support steering wheel (2).
Connect harness assembly (11) and harness assembly (10).

Install steering wheel (2) in the original position.
Install retaining nut (9). The torque for retaining nut (9) is 50 4 N m (37 3 lb ft).

Slide shroud (7) to the original position. Install bolts (8).

Install lever (6) in the original position. Install spacer (4) and nut (3).
Connect harness assembly (5) to horn button (1).

Install horn button (1) on steering wheel (2). End By:
Separate the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect".
