Remove shim pack (4) from the torque converter housing.Note: Measure the shim pack thickness and record the measurement for installation purposes.

Place pump adapter (2) on suitable cribbing. Remove bearing cup (5) from pump adapter (2) .

Remove pump drive gear (6) .

Remove seal ring (7) .

Use Tooling (B) , Tooling (C) and a suitable lifting device in order to remove bearing cone (8) from pump drive gear (6) .

Repeat Step 7 in order to remove bearing cone (9) .

Remove bearing cup (10) from the torque converter housing.
Repeat Step 1 through Step 9 in order to disassemble the remaining pump drive.
Use Tooling (D) and a suitable lifting device in order to turn over the torque converter housing. The weight of the torque converter housing is approximately 150 kg (331 lb).

Remove idler shaft (14) from the center of bearing cone (15) . Remove bearing cone (15) from idler gear (16) .

Remove spacer (17) from bearing cone (18) .

Remove idler gear (16) and bearing cone (18) from the torque converter housing.
