The lift arms may develop cracks in the welds that attach the 8X0750 Brackets "ears" to the lift arms on some 994 Loaders. The weld size can be increased to increase the service life.
Affected Product
Model & Identification Number
994 (9YF1-216)
Parts Needed
Not Applicable.
Action Required
If cracks develop in the welds attaching one or more of the 8X0750 Brackets "ears" use the attached procedure to increase the weld fillet size in the lower half of the bores on all four of the 8X0750 Brackets. It will be necessary to support the lift arms in a partially raised position to have access to these welded areas. Weld repair and increase the weld size as described in the rework procedure.
Service Claim Allowances
This is a 7-hour job. If previous repairs have been made part hours since repair apply. If it is necessary to remachine the bores and additional 8 hrs will be allowed.
