GUARD GP-COUPLING 4646731 - Caterpillar

Plug the apertures in the cylinder head in order to prevent the entry of loose parts into the engine.

Remove harness assembly (5) for the exhaust gas temperature from bracket (6).
If necessary, remove bolts (2) from inlet manifold (3). Remove bracket (1) from the inlet manifold.
Remove bolts (4) from the inlet manifold. Note the position of different length bolts.
Remove the inlet manifold and gasket (7) from spacer (8).
Remove spacer (8) and gasket (9) from inlet manifold adapter (10).
If necessary, follow Step 6.a through Step 6.d in order to remove inlet manifold adapter (10).
Remove the electronic unit injector clamps and studs. Refer to
