Use two people to remove support (11). The weight of support (11) is approximately 27 kg (60 lb). Remove bolts (12). Install two bolts (12) into forcing screw holes (13). Use two bolts (12) as forcing screws to remove support (11). Remove support (11).

Remove lip seal (14) from support (11).
Use Tooling (A) and a suitable press to remove bearing (15). Remove bearing (15). Remove O-ring seal (16).Installation

Use two people to position support (11) onto a suitable press. The weight of support (11) is approximately 27 kg (60 lb). Use Tooling (B) and a suitable press to install bearing (15). Install bearing (15).
Install O-ring seal (16). Use Tooling (B) to install lip seal (14). Install lip seal (14). Lubricate lip seal (14) and O-ring seal (16) with lubricant that is being sealed.

The spring of the recoil spring assembly is compressed under several tons of force.Do not attempt to compress or release the tension of the spring with the nut on the end of the retaining rod.Damaged threads on the retaining rod or nut can cause the assembly to come apart with force, resulting in injury or death.
Apply Tooling (C) to the threads of bolt (12). Use two people to position support (11). Position support (11) and install bolts (12). Tighten bolts (12) to a torque of 250 40 N m (185 30 lb ft).

Install lower wear plates (9).
Attach a suitable lifting device to yoke assembly (7). The weight of yoke assembly (7) is approximately 86 kg (190 lb). Install yoke assembly (7).
Position blocks (10) and install bolts (8). Remove the suitable lifting device.

Attach a suitable lifting device to idler assembly (4). The weight of idler assembly (4) is approximately 195 kg (430 lb). Position idler assembly (4).
Apply Tooling (C) to the threads of bolts (5). Position caps (6) and install bolts (5). Tighten bolts (5) to a torque of 1600 200 N m (1180 150 lb ft).Note: Ensure that the dowel in cap (6) is aligned with the hole in the shaft.Note: Tighten bolts (5) on the abutment side first.

Install upper wear plate (3). Repeat for the opposite side.

Use two people to install cover (1). The weight of cover (1) is approximately 23 kg (50 lb). Position cover (1) and install bolts (2). Repeat for the opposite side.End By:
