Procedure To Adapt Earlier Machines (Typical)
Illustration 1. Supply line (1). Spray bar (2). Scraper support (5).1. Disconnect water supply line (1). Remove spray bar (2). Remove the elbow from the spray bar and save for use with the new spray bar.

Some earlier machines may have different clamps that hold the spray bar to the scraper. The newer style clamps are more resistant to vibration and should be used with the new spray bar. If you are converting to the new clamps it will be necessary to drill additional holes below existing holes (3) in scraper support (5). The CB-214 and CB-214B Compactors will require four additional holes. The CB-224 and CB-224B Compactors will require eight additional holes. Drill holes (4) as shown in Illustration 2.Dimension A 40 mm (1.6 in). Diameter of hole 9.0 mm (.35 in)
3. Mount the new spray bar with the nozzles in the UP position. Attach the water supply line, using the elbow that was saved from Step 1.4. Rotate the spray bar to give 100 percent coverage over the drum.Parts Service For New Spray Bar
