Remove two plugs and two seals from tubes at rear of machine. These items are for shipping and storage.Note: Items that are not numbered are part of the lines group for the ripper. The items are already on the machine.
Connect hose assemblies (15) and (16) to the hydraulic lines at the rear of the machine.Note: Install the hose clamps onto the hose assemblies before connecting the hose assemblies to the hydraulic lines. Do not tighten the hose clamps at this time.
Install hose assembly (15) to the rod end of the cylinder assembly, using seal (17), flanges (9), shields (12), bolts (22) and washers (21) .Note: Install hose clamp on hose assembly before connecting the hose assembly to the head end of the cylinder assembly. Do not tighten the hose clamp at this time.
Install hose assembly (16) to the head end of the cylinder assembly, using seal (17), flanges (9), shields (12), bolts (22) and washers (21) .Note: Install the hose clamp on the hose assembly before connecting the hose assembly to the head end of the cylinder assembly. Do not tighten the hose clamp at this time.
Use spacer (10), grommet (20), clips (18) and (19), and bolt (23) in order to attach hose assembly (16) to the cylinder assembly.
Remove support under carriage assembly (6). Raise or lower the carriage assembly in order to align the holes in the cylinder rod eyes with the holes in link assembly (2). Connect the cylinder to carriage assembly (6) with fittings (1), pins (3), bar (4), bolts (5), and washers (7). Tighten bolts (5) to a torque of 120 20 N m (90 15 lb ft).Note: Insert pins (3) into carriage assembly (6). Be sure that the holes in the pins and the holes in the carriage assembly are aligned horizontally.
Tighten all hose clamps. Check all connections for leaks and make repairs, if necessary.
Check the oil level in the hydraulic tank and fill the tank, if necessary. Cycle the cylinder in both directions in order to purge air from the lines and from the cylinder. Refill the hydraulic tank to the FULL mark.Installation Procedure for Ripper Tooth Gp
Note: Clean all parts. Remove paint from any mating surfaces.Necessary Parts

Install ripper shank (6) to the carriage assembly with pin (5) and cotter (2) .
Make sure that the carriage assembly is supported. Install ripper tip (3) with retainer (1) and pin (4) .
