Clearance of Lines Near Hitch: Check carefully that there is not wrong contact on hoses or wires near the hitch. IMPLEMENTS
Blade Positions: Operate all controls to move the blade into all positions. Boom and Stick: Fully extend and retract the boom and stick. Shovel, Bucket or Logger: Operate the attachment into all positions. Bucket Positions: Operate the bucket TILT lever fully forward and back at different heights. Kick-Outs: Make sure the kick-outs work correctly. The RAISE and TILT BACK controls must kick out of their detents at the set points. Kick-outs are used on track-type loaders, wheel loaders and front shovels. CAB
Disconnect Switch: Turn the switch on: The lights for "fault", "coolant", "engine oil", and "alternator" on the Electronic Monitoring System (EMS) panel must come on (if so equipped).VElectronic Monitoring System (EMS): Use the test switch to see that all lights come on. Horn: Operate the horn. Seat Belts: Inspect the belts for cuts, tears, and holes. Check the fastening bolts, and the buckle. Seat Adjustment: Put the seat into several positions to check its adjustments. On suspension seats, check the suspension under the seat. Add grease, if necessary. All Switches and Controls: Operate all switches and controls to make sure they operate freely, with no resistance or friction. Also, check that they activate the correct component. Doors and Windows: Open and close all doors and windows. They must work easily. Add lubricant to hinges, latches, springs, and locks, if necessary. Locks and Latches: Make sure the latches on doors and windows engage correctly. Use the key to check all locks. Mirror: Adjust all mirrors correctly. Check for damage caused by storage and transport. Windshield Wipers: Operate all wipers. Windshield Washers: Operate the windshield washers to see that the spray area is correct. Heater: Operate the heater, including fan and temperature controls. Make sure you get hot air. Air Conditioner/Pressurizer: Operate fan and temperature controls. Make sure you get cold air. Lights - Outside and Cab: Check all lights to make sure they are working: Flood lights, head lights, brake lights, turn signals, turning lights, and inside the cab. Gauges: Check all gauges for correct operation. Unusual Noise: If you hear wrong noises, find the source. Console Lock or Steering Column Adjustment: Adjust the column to several positions.
