View From Under Machine2. Remove tube assembly (2) that goes from the magnetic screen to the oil pump.3. Disconnect hose assemblies (1) and (3) from the oil pump. Check the condition of the O-ring seals in the hose assemblies and tube assembly. If the seals have damage, use new parts for replacement.

View From Under MachineView From Under Machine1. Put a new gasket on the dowels in the flywheel clutch. Put steering clutch and scavenge oil pump (3) in position in the flywheel clutch. Install the seven bolts that hold it.2. Connect hose assemblies (4) and (2) to the oil pump.3. Install tube assembly (1).4. Fill the flywheel clutch with oil to the correct level. START BY:a) remove steering clutch and scavenge oil pump (direct drive and special application) 1. Loosen nut (1) until it is approximately1/8 in. (3.18 mm) away from the gear. Do not remove the nut. 2. Loosen gear (2) with tooling (A). Remove the nut, washer and gear from the pump. Remove the key from the shaft. 3. Remove four bolts (3) from the cover assembly. Before the pump is pulled apart, make a mark across the pump as identification for correct installation of all the parts of the pump.4. Turn the pump around and remove two bolts (4). Remove manifold (5) and the two O-ring seals. If the seals have damage, use new parts for replacement. 5. Remove idler gear (6) and drive gear (8). Remove body assembly assembly (7). Remove the two O-ring seals from the manifold assembly. 6. Turn the pump around and remove cover assembly (9). Remove the O-ring seal from the cover assembly. Check the condition of the seal. If the seal has damage, use a new part for replacement. 7. Remove idler gear (10) from the manifold assembly. 8. Remove key (11). Remove drive gear (12) from the manifold assembly. 9. 1. Make sure all the parts of the pump are clean and free of dirt before it is assembled. Put clean oil on all the parts of the pump. 2. Install two bearings (1) in the manifold assembly with tooling (A) as follows:a) Install the bearings until they are .062 in. (1.6 mm) below the machined surface of the manifold assembly. Make sure the joints (2) in the bearings are at an angle of 30° 15° from the center line through the bores in the manifold assembly as shown. 3. Install two
