Auto Neutral Function
The auto neutral function is used to neutralize the transmission when an external attachment is activated. The auto neutral function can be programmed to shift automatically out of neutral if conditions warrant or may require the operator to reselect the direction. There are a set of programmable parameters to activate the auto neutral functionality which allows tailoring to the application.Parameters controlling the Auto Neutral feature:

Parking Brake     J2/P2: 29,J1939 Cab Controller, J1939 Instrument Cluster, J1939 Body Controller    Required Programming:The Auto Neutral feature functions when the Auto Neutral Function Enabled Status parameter is programmed to "Enabled". The Minimum Transmission Output Speed parameter is also programmed greater than 0 RPM. Recommended speed is 100 RPM or higher.The following table describes the switch interactions with the Auto Neutral feature:
