Removal Procedure
Disconnect batteries before performance of any service work.
Remove the right engine panel.

Typical example
Put identification marks on all wires for installation purposes.
Slide rubber boot (2) away from terminal (3). Disconnect terminal (3). Disconnect terminal (1) and terminal (4) .

Remove nuts (5) that hold electric starting motor (6) to the flywheel housing. Remove electric starting motor (6) .Installation Procedure

Typical example
Install electric starting motor (6) to the original location. Install nuts (5) that hold electric starting motor (6) to the flywheel housing.

Typical example
Connect terminal (1) and tighten terminal (1) to a torque of 26 4 N m (19 3 lb ft).
Connect terminal (3) and tighten terminal (3) to a torque of 26 4 N m (19 3 lb ft). Slide rubber boot (2) over terminal (3) .
Connect terminal (4) and tighten terminal (4) to a torque of 2.25 .25 N m (20 2 lb in).
Install the right side engine panel.
