Description of Change: A new elbow is used that provides a more rugged joint between the outlet pipe from the turbocharger compressor and the aftercooler inlet pipe. Engineering changes have been made to the clamps and to the straps that are used with the new elbow. The hardware that is used with the new elbow has changed.Adaptable To: The 294-0526 Elbow As and the 294-0527 Elbow As are cancelled and replaced by the 294-5248 Elbow. The former elbows had welded gussets. The new elbow has raised bosses that are molded to the casting in order to attach the straps that secure the hump hose.The 294-0517 Straps that are used with the new elbow have changed. The straps have been twisted 90 degrees in order to attach the new elbow that secures the air lines.The 294-0521 Clamp and the 294-0522 Clamp have changed. The profile of the clamps has changed in order to match the angle of the bosses on the cast surface.The hardware that is used with the new elbow is listed in Table 1.
