The symbol indicated by the arrow at the top row of clock bar is used to indicate if the magnet is ON (symbol is green) or OFF (symbol is red)."MAGNET ON" - This indicator is green (active) whenever the magnet is energized during the lift mode. The magnet is in the lift mode when the "Lift" switch is pressed, on the RH joystick. See Troubleshooting, "Magnet Does Not Lift Material" if the indicator does not illuminate. The indicator is red (not active) when the magnet is de-energized during the drop mode. The magnet is in the drop mode when the "Drop" switch is pressed, on the LH joystick. The indicator is not active when the magnet is de-energized. See Troubleshooting, "Magnet Does Not Drop Material" if the indicator stays illuminated.Note: If the Magnet is de-energized, the voltage gets reversed for a short period to achieve a clean drop of the Magnet. During this short time the indicator is again green (active).

When the Generator Volts fault is active, the graphic above will be displayed as a red symbol. The operator monitor will also display the message "GENERATOR VOLTS FAULT"."GENERATOR VOLTS FAULT" - This indicator is active when the generator is over the proper voltage during the lift mode. This indicator illuminates when the generator is under the proper voltage during the lift mode. This condition requires immediate attention to prevent damage to the generator or the magnet. There are several conditions that illuminate this indicator. Operation should cease and the problem should be resolved whenever this indicator is active. If this indicator is active, depress the "Drop" switch and open the disconnect switch. See Troubleshooting, "Indicator for Volts Fault".Note: "Generator Volts Fault - A third level alert category." This warning indicates that the generator is creating voltage that is outside of the normal range. The monitor will display this warning if the voltage created by the generator is too high or too low. Contact your Cat dealer for more information. On D-Series machines, only this Volts Fault alert is indicated at the Operator Monitor AND the Independent Generator Monitor.Note: If the machine reaches a third level alert category, immediate, safe engine shutdown is required. This level of warning will be indicated by a message on the display screen, activation of the alert indicator, and by a buzzer.

When the Magnet Duty Cycle fault is active, the graphic above will be displayed as a red symbol. The operator monitor will also display the message "Magnet Duty Cycle over 75%"."OVER 75% DUTY CYCLE" - This indicator is active when the magnet has been energized more than 7.5 minutes of a 10 minute period. Note: This function helps the operator to prevent overheating the magnet. Overheating the magnet will shorten the life of the magnet. If this indicator is active, see Troubleshooting, "Indicator for Over 75% Duty Cycle".
