Certain Series D Wheel Skidder are making a noticeable noise coming from the pump drive or torque convertor area of the transmission. This noise is not associated with any failure mode at this time and is not region, application, or environmental related.Solution
The source of the noise has been determined to be the 428-7294 Torsional Coupling Gp . The noise may be eliminated or greatly reduced by loosening and torquing the 2J-5245 Bolts mounting the coupler group to the flywheel. The 2J-5245 Bolts should be torqued to 47 9 N m (34.66532 6.63804 lb ft). There is no failure mode that is associated to this noise based on the information available at this time.
