Perform the following rework procedure for updating EMS II with EMS III:
Determine the appropriate hardware and software for the monitoring system update (EMS III).
Remove earlier model EMS and install the latest version of the EMS III using the same mounting hardware and electrical connection.
Using Cat® Electronic Technician (Cat ET) WinFlash, proceed to flash the appropriate software listed in Table 1 to the installed EMS III.
Once the EMS III has been flashed, the product ID must be programmed. The product ID is the serial number of the machine.Example: If the EMS III conversion is to be completed on a 627G AXF00150 machine, enter the product ID as "AXF00150".
Validate by starting the machine and check for correct operation.
