Turn off the shutoff valve (1). Drain the oil from the oil pan.

Disconnect the hose (not shown). Cap the hose or plug the hose immediately. Note: The relief valve for the prelube pump is not shown in Illustration 2.
Disconnect the other hose (not shown). Cap the hose or plug the hose immediately.
Remove four nuts (3).
Remove the prelube pump (2).
