Information:

1. Release the pressure in the implement hydraulic system as follows:a. Fully retract the rod in the stick cylinder.b. Adjust the position of the bucket so that it will be flat on the ground when the boom is lowered.c. Lower the boom until the bucket is flat on the ground.d. Shut off the engine.e. Check the pilot pressure at the implement pilot system test port at the pilot manifold assembly under the cab. If the pressure is below 3000 kPa (435 psi) connect an auxiliary pump unit to this port and pump the pilot pressure to 4000 kPa (580 psi).f. Put the hydraulic activation control lever in the "Unlock" position and turn the start key to RUN. DO NOT START THE MACHINE.g. Move the control levers for boom, bucket, stick and swing to all full stroke positions and actuate both bottom dump trigger switches (if so equipped) on the front of the control handles. This should release any pressure that might be present in the main implement system. Disconnect the auxiliary pump unit (if used) and install the pressure gauge at the test port. Continue to move the control levers until the pilot system pressure is released. Verify the pilot system pressure is released with the pressure gauge.h. Press the relief valve button on the hydraulic tank breather to release the tank pressure.i. The pressure in the system has been released and lines and components can be removed or disconnected.2. Close the shutoff valves on the hydraulic tank to prevent excessive hydraulic oil loss. Depending upon the removal method used, it may be necessary to remove the mufflers and hood to remove components in a vertical manner. 3. Disconnect and cap all hydraulic hose assemblies (1) and wiring harness (2) that are connected to main implement systems screens (3).4. Disconnect and cap hydraulic hose assemblies (4) that are connected to pilot system oil filter (5).5. Disconnect and cap all hydraulic hose assemblies (6) and wiring harness (7) that are connected to proportional reducing valve (8). 6. Disconnect all hydraulic hose assemblies (9) that are connected to the main pumps (implement), swing pump, engine coolant fan drive pump and the pilot pump. 7. Remove bolts and remove panels (10).8. Remove main pumps (implement), swing pump, engine coolant fan drive pump and pilot pump (11) that are connected to pump drive (12). The weight of the main pumps (implement) is approximately 270 kg (594 lb). The weight of the swing pump is approximately 260 kg (575 lb). The combined weight of the engine coolant fan drive pump and the pilot pump is approximately 69 kg (152 lb).9. Install Tooling (A) under the front drive housing to support the engine.
Typical Illustration
Ensure that all hose assemblies and wiring harnesses have been disconnected from the pump drive prior to removal.
10. Fasten a lifting device to pump drive (12). Remove mounting bolts (13). Remove bolts (14) that connect the pump drive to the engine. Remove the pump drive
