Description of Change: An improved gas pressure regulator is used on G3500 Engines. The valve stem, the deflector ring, and the valve seat are built as a single assembly on the new gas pressure regulator. The new design will not allow the valve seat to separate from the valve stem which could lead to starting and/or performance problems.Adaptable To: The 335-5764 Gas Pressure Regulator is a direct replacement for the 7E-3407 Gas Pressure Regulator. The new 334-8409 Stem As replaces the 173-4548 Valve Stem, the 123-3967 Deflector Ring, and the 123-3968 Valve Seat. The stem assembly will no longer be serviced by individual components.The new gas pressure regulator is effective with engines that are manufactured on 15October 2008.
