Door Lock
Remove and Disassemble Door Lock
1. Press back sleeve (1) on the inside door handle and drive out roll pin (3).2. Remove the door handle, sleeve (1) and spring (2).3. Remove screws (5) and remove the outer door handle with plate (11).4. Press down washer (9) on the lock spindle (10) and remove cotter pin (4), washer (9), spring (8) and washer (7).5. Remove spring clips (12), plate (13) and latch spring (14).6. Remove bolts (17) and remove the latch (16) and latch plate (15).Assemble and Install Door Lock
1. Assemble the latch and latch plate with bolts (17) and associated washers. Leave the bolts hand tight.2. Adjust the position of the latch assembly until both latches (19) contact the latch boss (20) at the same time, and tighten latch bolts (17).3. Slide the washer (7) onto the lock spindle followed by spring (8). On door handles for D44B and D550B machines the spring should be coiled clockwise. On all other machines the spring should be coiled counter-clockwise.4. Lift the loop of the spring onto peg (6).5. Install washer (9) and insert cotter pin (4).6. Assemble the latch operating spring (14) to the disc (13) with one of the spring clips (12) and attach the other end of the spring to the latch lever (18) with the other spring clip (12).7. Install the outside handle with the spindle (10) through the latch spring disc and secure with screws (5).8. Install spring (2), sleeve (1) and the inside handle.9. Hold the sleeve back against the spring and install roll pin (3).
