Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the oil pan and crankcase extension.
Remove the oil pickup tube.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Remove rod bolts (1) and rod caps (2). Repeat on all rods. Remove main bearing cap bolts (5) and main bearing caps (3). Remove crankshaft (4).

Remove the lower halve of main bearings (7) from main bearing cap (3) .Note: Be careful not to damage the bearings. Mark each main bearing in order to ensure installation in the original location.Note: Check the condition of the crankshaft main bearings.

Use a suitable puller in order to remove crankshaft gear (9) if necessary. Remove key (8).
