Set the engine to LOW IDLE. Raise the angle broom off the ground. Operate the auxiliary hydraulic control in order to determine the operation of the broom. For Caterpillar Skid Steer Loaders, Multi Terrain Loaders, Compact Track Loaders, and Compact Wheel Loaders, press the auxiliary hydraulic control A2 (2). The brushes will rotate clockwise when you view the angle broom from the motor side. Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual of your host machine for more information on the operator controls.Clear the work area of any large debris. Clear the work area of personnel.
Set the engine speed on the host machine in order to sweep the material.
Rack back the broom slightly. Lower the loader lift arms until the arms rest on the stops.Note: Use the tilt function on the host machine in order to raise or lower the broom during operation. Do not use the loader lift arms to raise or lower the broom during operation.
Press the auxiliary hydraulic control A2 (2) in order to activate the brushes.Note: Activate the continuous flow control for extended operating periods. The broom may hesitate slightly before the broom resets to the desired speed. Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual of your host machine for more information on the operator controls.

Tilt the angle broom forward in order to lower the broom frame until the top of the broom frame is relatively level and about 406 mm (16 inch) above the ground.
Drive the host machine forward.
If you need to reposition the host machine, deactivate the auxiliary hydraulic control. Allow the brushes to stop rotating.
Rack back the angle broom to the transport position.
Position the host machine. Repeat the steps until the job is complete.Adjusting the Pattern of the Broom
Note: It is necessary to adjust the pattern of the broom in order to prevent uneven wear of the bristles and premature wear of the bristles. The pattern of the broom must first be adjusted at the 0 degree articulated position. The pattern of the broom must then be adjusted at each maximum articulation angle.Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Broom - Inspect/Adjust/Replace" for information on adjusting the pattern of the broom.Adjustment of the Broom Angle
