PARTS DISPOSITION
Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.
Rework Procedure
The following procedure should be used to inspect the articulation hitch plate for cracking. Refer to the Service Manual if/as necessary.
1. The 6 bolts on the top of the pin retainer plate will need to be removed in Image 1.1.1.

2. The two front retainer to frame bolt holes will need to be inspected for cracks per image 1.2.1. Crack initiation will start from the threaded holes and run toward the articulation bore. A second crack will then initiate in the threads and run towards the edge of the top plate.

3. Inspect the articulation hitchplate along the outer edge adjacent to the wrapper plate on both sides of the rear frame per Image 1.3.1.

If a crack is discovered in the top plate of the articulation hitch weldment on the rear frame, apply Special Instruction REHS7191 "Prodcedure to Reapir Cracks and Improve the Articulation Hitch on Certain 16M Motor Graders" to replace the top plate.
