Install four bolts (36) that secure head (3) to pump housing (37). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 1000 100 N m (740 75 lb ft).

Install the shims behind impeller (30). Use Tool (E) (not shown) to install retaining ring (35) behind impeller (30). Install key (34), impeller (30) and shims (32) on shaft (33). Use Tool (E) (not shown) to install retaining ring (31) on shaft (33) .

Install seal (28) in front of impeller (30). Use Tool (G) (not shown) to install retaining ring (29) in front of impeller (30) .

Install O-ring seal (27) to cover (26) .

Install cover (26) and four bolts (25) to the head. Install coupling (23) on the shaft. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 176 20 N m (130 15 lb ft). Install O-ring seal (24) (not shown) to cover (26) .

Install piston (22), spring retainer (21), spring (20) and spring retainer (19) to the pressure and flow compensator valve.
Install the setscrew and nut (16) to plug (17). Install O-ring seal (18) to plug (17). Install plug (17) to pressure and flow compensator valve (2) .
Adjust pressure compensating valve (15) as close as possible to the original position.

Install piston (14), spring retainer (13), spring (12), spring (11) and spring retainer (10) to pressure and flow compensator valve (2) .
Install the setscrew and nut (7) to plug (8). Install O-ring seal (9) to plug (8). Install plug (8) to pressure and flow compensator valve (2) .
Adjust flow compensator valve (6) as close as possible to the original position.

Install two pins (4) and four O-ring seals (5) to pressure and flow compensator valve (2) .

Install five bolts (1) in order to secure pressure compensator valve (2) to steering pump (3). The torque for the five bolts is 21 5 N m (16 4 lb ft).Note: The flow compensator valve and the pressure compensator valve must be adjusted after the steering pump is installed on the machine. Refer to Testing and Adjusting for the correct setting of the steering pump.End By: Install the steering pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Piston Pump (Steering) - Install".
