With the articulated hitch separated, remove eight bolts (2) that hold on upper bearing cap (1).
Remove bearing cap (1). Replace bearings, if necessary.
Install shim pack (2) and shim pack (3), as needed.
Install upper cap (1). Install eight bolts (2) that are equally spaced at 120 degree intervals. The torque for bolts is 100 20 N m (75 15 lb ft).
Use a torque wrench in order to determine the amount of torque that is needed in order to rotate the bearing cones. As required, adjust the number of shims in order to achieve a rolling torque between 2.3 N m (20 lb in) and 13.6 N m (120 lb in). Lower Hitch Adjustment

With the articulated hitch separated, remove six bolts (9) that hold on upper bearing cap (1).
Remove bearing cap (8). Replace bearings, if necessary.
Install shim packs (12,13,14), as needed.
Install upper cap (3). Install six bolts (9) and the washers that are equally spaced at 90 degree intervals. The torque for bolts (9) is 100 20 N m (75 15 lb ft).
Use a torque wrench in order to determine the amount of torque that is needed in order to rotate the bearing cones. As required, adjust the number of shims in order to achieve a rolling torque between 2.3 N m (20 lb in) and 13.6 N m (120 lb in).
