Illustration 2.The FT1531 and FT1550 Rods (see Illustration 3) are used to remove the bearing from the drive plate. The FT1531 Rod has a 10.03 mm (.395") diameter, and the FT1550 Rod has an 8.585 mm (.3379") diameter. Two rods are needed because two sizes of holes were used in the drive plates.
Illustration 3. FT1531 Rods installed during bearing removal.Because of a change in the spanner nuts, cast slots instead of machined slots, the 5P2684 Spanner Socket will not fit the spanner nut. The FT1532 Spanner Socket is made from the 5P2684 Spanner Socket as shown in Illustration 4.
