Torque from the engine is transferred through the torque converter to input shaft assembly (3). Gear (7) is splined to input shaft assembly (3). Gear (7) turns gear (10).Gear (10) turns hub assembly (8). Torque is transferred from input shaft assembly (3) through gear (7) and gear (10) to hub assembly (8). When clutch 2 (6) is engaged, torque is transferred from hub assembly (8) through the engaged clutch 2 to shaft assembly (9).Gear (5) is part of shaft assembly (9). Gear (5) turns gear (11).
