Start By:a. remove final driveb. remove differential, bevel gear and pinion 1. Remove bolt (1) and the washer from the rear axle housing. Set hose assembly (2) out of the way. 2. Put the forks of a suitable lift truck in position under rear axle housing (3) as shown. Secure Tool (A) around rear axle housing (3) as shown.

Right side of top rear axle housing3. Remove 18 bolts (4) and the washers from rear axle housing (3).4. Lower rear axle housing (3) from rear frame assembly (5). The weight of rear axle housing (3) is 1180 kg (2600 lb). The following steps are for the installation of the rear axle housing.5. Make sure all components of the rear axle housing are clean of dirt and foreign material prior to installation.6. Check all components for wear or damage and replace if necessary.7. Put the forks of a suitable lift truck in position under rear axle housing (3) as shown. Secure Tool (A) around rear axle housing (3) as shown.8. Lift rear axle housing (3) in position on rear frame assembly (5). The weight of rear axle housing (3) is 1180 kg (2600 lb).
The six bolts on the bottom rear axle housing must be torqued prior to torqueing the remaining 12 bolts to the top rear axle housing. Failure to do so could result in component damage.
9. Install six bolts (4) and the washers to rear axle housing (3). Tighten six bolts (4) to a torque of 2000 250 N m (1471 184 lb ft).10. Install 12 bolts (4) and the washers to rear axle housing (3). Tighten 12 bolts (4) to a torque of 2000 250 N m (1471 184 lb ft).11. Put hose assembly (2) in position on the axle housing.
