Type 1
The aftercooler that is shown in Disassembly and Assembly, "Aftercooler - Install "Type 1"" is assembled as the aftercooler is installed in the engine. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Aftercooler -Install".Type 2
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Note: Check the condition of the gaskets and the O-ring seals. If the gaskets or the O-ring seals are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

Install O-ring seals (11) on aftercooler core (9).

Install a new gasket (10).

Install aftercooler core (9) in the aftercooler housing (3).

Put glycerin or light engine oil on adapters (6) and (7). Install O-ring seal (5). Install adapter (6) and (7). Repeat this procedure for the installation of adapter assembly (8).

Install gasket (4).

Install cover (1) on aftercooler housing (3) with bolts (2). End By:
Install the aftercooler. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Aftercooler - Install".
