Information:
During certain conditions, the machine ECM may prevent stick movement. The machine may also automatically move the stick away from the machine to avoid a collision with the cab. The ECM utilizes the information from stick position sensor (39), boom position sensor (40) and offset boom position sensor (41). The following is an example of the operator performing a BOOM UP and a STICK IN function. The boom and stick are positioned under the cab level.Pilot oil flows from pilot pump (18), through pilot manifold (42), and into pilot control valve (15), pilot control valve (43), and pilot control valve (44). When pilot control valve (44) is moved to the STICK IN position, pilot oil flows to proportional reducing valve (25). Pilot oil then flows to the stick control valve. This action shifts stick control valve (48) into the STICK IN position. Pilot oil also flows from pilot control valve (43) to proportional reducing valve (27) in proportional reducing valve manifold (20). Pilot oil then flows to main control valve (13) and shifts boom control valve (47) up to perform a BOOM UP operation. As the boom moves up and the bucket comes close to the cab, the machine ECM will avoid a cab collision. The ECM performs this function by using the position information from the position sensors on the boom and stick. The ECM will turn off proportional reducing valve (25). This action will prevent the flow of pilot oil to the top side of stick control valve (48). The ECM now energizes proportional reducing valve (28) and proportional reducing valve (29). Proportional reducing valve (28) redirects some of the pilot oil from the BOOM UP pilot oil circuit to the STICK OUT pilot oil circuit. Pilot oil flows from pilot control valve (43) and into proportional reducing valve (28). This action shifts stick control valve (48) to the STICK OUT position. This action moves out the stick and avoids a collision with the cab.Proportional reducing valves (26), (21), and (22) work similar to proportional reducing valve (27). These valves will become partially energized to reduce the pilot pressure sent to the control valves inside the main control valve. This action will slow the speed of the implements. If the implements come close to the cab avoidance areas, pressure reducing valves (21), (22), (25), (26), and (27) can be partially energized. This action will slow the implement movement near the cab. If the implements move into the cab/cover avoidance area, the pressure reducing valves will become de-energized. This action will completely stop the implement movement in the direction of the cab.E-Fence
Introduction
The E-fence system allows the operator to set predetermined distances around the machine. This action restricts the movement of the machine to within those distances by regulating the amount of pilot oil flow to the implements control valve. The E-fence system works similar to the cab avoidance system. For additional information on setting up the E-Fence system, refer to Owners Operation Manual, "Front Control System -
