The front suspension consists of a bogie with four solid rubber tires on each side of the machine. A cross trunnion joins the bogies and the center of the cross trunnion attaches to the mainframe by means of a support shaft.A hydraulic double-rod-end cylinder on the left bogie turns the left wheels. A cross tie rod, connecting the left rear spindle and the right rear spindle, turns the right rear wheel synchronously with the left rear wheel. The right front wheel is then turned by a tie rod that connects the right rear spindle with the right front spindle.The steering hydraulic cylinder extends or retracts in response to the position of the steering wheels. The steering wheels each position a steering valve that directs hyraulic oil from the auxiliary pump to the appropriate end of the steering hydraulic cylinder in proportion to the movement of the steering wheel.
